Another Sunday Afternoon

Last Sunday we found a new park. It was rather small and out of the way, but it suited our need for a picnicking place perfectly. It even had a gazebo!

I had to change my shoes and by the time I got there Dad and Trina had already made themselves comfortable on a lakeside bench, which made this picture even better.

We had a lovely lunch...

We fed the geese. I was impressed with how fearless they were, and how picky. They did not appreciate donations of potato chips, only bread. After thoroughly enjoying being so close to the geese I wondered to myself, "Is this how people who come to the farm feel about our chickens?" I promise to be more understanding in the future...

The kids discovered a "passageway" which connected both sides of the park under the road. They took great advantage of the amazing acoustics.

They also discovered some handwriting directions in the tunnel they were more than happy to comply with.

In the meantime, some of the older people were solving the world's problems.

Which caused them to become rather tired. What a lovely sunny day for a nap!

John called this "relaxing arraignment" a log pile. I guess it was an unstacked log pile... Thank you Lord for another sunny Sunday afternoon!

  1. Looks like a fun park. Some people around here have guard geese for protecting their gardens! Glad the Geese let you guys log pile nap.

I'll bet Leah could record her first CD with the echos of that tunnel in the background.
