They drove it all the way out from Sacramento and delivered it to the farm! We were delighted, first of all because we got to visit with them, and secondly because now we can all ride together! Well, soon, we need to fix a seat belt first.
The car is in wonderful shape and runs very well. God always gives such good gifts!! We decided to name the car "Bob", partly after Grandpa Bob who gave him to us, and partly for the parking attendant at Christ Community who always waves at us on Sundays.
Behold, the most amazing thing about Bob, the backseat and the 'tailgate' that opens either to the side or down. Thank you again, Grandpa Bob and Grandma Phyllis!! We are in love with Bob already....
Can I ride in the VERY back seat sometime??? When I was little some friends had a station wagon with a rear facing seat and I wanted our family to have one like that so badly! I thought they were the coolest thing ever. :) So, can I PLEASE have a ride??

Congratulations on your new set of wheels. BOB is a car with quite a colorful history. His original owners were my parents, Phyllis and George Stevenson.BOB is a veteran of many a successful fishing trip, vacation and weekend cruise. My father was retired so he used BOB primarily for fun trips.I know that my father, who has since passed away, would be delighted to know that BOB has found a good home. I am also quite sure that BOB is delighted to be back in service again, especially with all the children.
ReplyDeleteBOB should be able to give you a lot of millage if you treat him well. He likes a sip of oil now and again.
Best to all there, Love, Uncle Dale (Stevenson, so as not to be confused with that other Dale fellow.)
Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for BOB!!!!! :P He is a lot of help to your Grandchildren!!!! :D And thank you so so so so much for coming!!!!! :D :D We miss you a LOT!!!!!!!
