I know, I have not done a 'Typical' post in a long time... come to think of it, I haven't posted anything in a few weeks... Sorry!
Nevertheless, here is a taste of what has been going on in our lives in the past few weeks...
The sheep were looking tasty, so we weighed one to see if it was big enough to butcher... In order to do this, the sheep must first be caught and brought to the scale.
Which happens to be in the house. :-) Then you stand on the scale, weigh yourself and the sheep, go put the sheep back where you found it, and then weigh yourself. The verdict: hello lamb chops! :-)
John, rocking the inside-out pajamas
Ingenuity in its truest form... :-)
John got a bad sliver in his toe the other day. He brought it to me, I took one look, and decided surgery was in order.
Rosie was my very competent nurse, who held John's hand and screamed for him. :-)
Check out that whopper! John was so brave; he hardly made a sound!
Benjamin and I playing our guitars one evening. He has really gotten good; I'm going to have to work harder if I want to stay ahead. :-)
Due to a rather unfortunate and very amusing incident, our old roping saddle was more or less ruined.
So Benjamin bought a new one! Here he is modeling it. :-)
Another angle...
John tried it out; practicing riding a bucking bronco
As did this little cowgirl. :-)
That's all for now folks!
Another fabulous post about life with Rosie!! Love that she was the screamer for John! Nasty splinter by the way! Great shots of everyone doing their thing. Thanks Leah!!
ReplyDeleteLove you all!

I always love to see what you guys are up to in ole Nebrasky. Fall, winter, and all the holidays therein are the strangest times in southern Texas. Last year we swam in a wading pool on Thanksgiving. Instead of turkeys people eat hogsheads made into menudo and tamales. Yum yum :-) It is disturbing to see all the piggy heads lined up in the meat cooler staring straight at you!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're keeping busy. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I am thankful to count you among my friends!
Love,
Anna Blessing
