Mom took all the pictures I had on my camera and put them on CDs for me. I found some time to look at them and thought it would be nice to share some of the best with our blog readers. Enjoy

Haircuts

The boys have been needing haircuts for a while, so last night I opened the barber shop.

Timo was my first victim, er customer. He wanted a 'clip' which I had not practiced in a while, but it came out good.

While clipping, I explained and demonstrated to Rebecca how to give haircuts

Benjamin bravely offered to let Rebecca try it out on him with me supervising.

With some fear and trepidation, she set to with the buzzer.

"How bad is it?" :)

I gave Rebecca plenty of pointers, and did the around the ear trimming, but she did the bulk of herself.

Tada! The completed haircut. Thanks boys for being such good guinea pigs.

Hay Loading

On Wednesday a gentleman from Texas came up for a load of hay.

An odd side note, for some reason the whole time we were loading a line from Dr Seuss was running through my head. "In again, out again, up again, down again..." :)

Happy Birthday Hillary

Today is Hillary's 20th birthday!

A few random things about Hillary

• She is the only one of us girls who currently owns a truck
• She is a good cook
• She is hilariously funny
• Pretty much everyone likes her
• She has a great eye for fashion
• She talks in her sleep
• She is a very good dancer
• She is a great photographer
• She can sew anything just from looking at a picture
• And she is very beautiful,

Snow

We heard that it was supposed to snow today, so Benjamin brought in a ginormous load of wood.


Sure enough, these big, white, flakes started falling out of the sky. Rosie and John were ecstatic, 'Its snowing!'

I stuck my head out around 11:00 to get some pictures, and this is what I saw.

The Calamity

A terrible calamity occurred the other night. After weeks of wanting to but never having the time, I finally found the time to get out my guitar. That is not the calamity, the calamity is, that is all that happened. While tuning I broke a string. E to be precise. I sorrowfully put my guitar away, not having been able to play a single song, ordered a new set of strings, and went to bed.

Well today I checked the mail and low and behold, the new strings had arrived!

After supper John and I set up shop, and set out to change things,... er strings. :)

We made a bit of a mess.

I taught John how to do it, so just in case he starts playing guitar he will know.

First secure the end of the string with the little but amazingly strong peg.

Second, wrap the other end up on the winder.

And don't forget to trim the ends.

Tada! This picture really makes me want to say, 'we'll burn that bridge when we come to it'. :)

And sound awesome on this end. One of the great things about getting a new set of strings is that, even if you can't play well yet, the guitar sure sounds good.

And finally, we are back in business!
